Big Save is proud to a valued legacy in the core of New Zealand's furniture and bedding industry since 1973.
As a family owned and operated business, we take pride in offering more than great value furniture and beds, we provide a homegrown commitment to quality, value for money and personalised service.

Where it started
Big Save opened its first store in Paraparaumu in 1973 based on the common-sense ideals of exceptional customer service and excellent value for money. The name of ‘Big’ selection and you can always ‘Save’ heaps. Today we continue to uphold these simple values, blending traditional with innovation to curate a beautiful collection of furniture and beds that resonates with New Zealanders.

Big Save is New Zealand's largest privately owned furniture and bed retailer with 27 stores (and online) throughout New Zealand. We are immensely proud that many New Zealander's have found memories of growing up with Big Save's furniture and beds in their homes. What drives us, is the excitement conveyed by a new piece of furniture, or a bed that you will always remember.

We know that everyone has busy lives and that you shouldn't have to wait for furniture or beds. We have 3 large warehouses based around New Zealand stocked full of furniture and beds. We know that having stock is a crucial aspect of providing a seamless and satisfying customer experience.

Sustainability is a responsible and ethical choice for Big Save. We believe that sustainability is an investment in our future. We are successfully achieving this by installing solar panels on our roofs, using energy efficient transport, and using recycled materials in our furniture, beds and packaging.
